The Warp is also where the daemons come from, and psyker powers...that's why it's not wise to trust psykers. Not a small thing either. Entire planets, entire -galactic sectors- get thrown into madness, death or worse by Chaos. Then it can take centuries to clean up the mess left over, assuming you can...powerful thing, too. Can drive anybody mad...fought in a battle where an entire city had converted to Chaos worship. Children too...
